Aurda Hermann-Hayes – Founder and CEO
As an expert in her field, Audra Herrmann-Hayes, MSPsy, is experienced in non-profit administration and creating organizational stability through financial diversification. Her specialty is grant writing and management, nonprofit development, fundraising, event planning, executive recruitment, program design, and nonprofit startups. Audra excels at creating solutions to drive organizational growth and stability though fund procurement. Audra’s passion lies in ensuring leadership, human capital, and fund development supports program and operations. She is well versed in organizational leadership training and human capital development. Audra enjoys working both in an individual and team setting developing, adapting and overseeing program procedures. She is well-versed in ensuring agency programs and operations are mission-driven with clear benchmarks to achieve annual objectives and meet strict Foundation, City, County, State, and Federal funding standards.
Audra has spent her professional career in the nonprofit sector as a direct service provider, program director and Executive Director. Audra is an experienced grant writer with multiple grant procurements generating funding and driving organizational financial stability. She has also spearheaded 400% organizational financial growth through grant procurement, fundraising, nonprofit development, and events planning.
Audra believes in the Spirit of Volunteerism, devoting much of her free time giving back to the community. She has sat on several Board of Directors including The HOPE Collaborative and The WonderSeed Foundation.
Wade Leonard, Grant Writer
Wade is the newest member of the Salang Consulting team. He’s a Veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard with a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Marketing from Eastern Oregon University, and a Master’s degree in Sustainable Natural Resource Management from Unity College. He developed an interest in the profession of grant writing both due to his love of writing, as well as his desire to support non-profit institutions which are fighting to improve people’s lives, protect the environment, and end social injustices. In his free time he enjoys hiking, bouldering, traveling, and pursuing creative artistic hobbies. He’s also been working as a volunteer grant writer for the Panamanian environmental non-profit, Planet Rehab, since 2020.
Maria Longo, Grant Writer
Grant Writer and Reviewer, passionate about assisting nonprofits make the difference every day. She has been working in the nonprofit sector for the last decade: started as an International Cooperation Project Officer, responsible for securing funds and writing grants awarded by many multilateral organizations (European Commission, World Bank, United Nations, Inter-American Development Bank), mostly dealing with Cultural Heritage, Environmental Sustainability, International Tourism and Smart Cities as tools for local development.
She moved to Florida five years ago and worked as Grants and Administration Manager at Covenant House Florida, serving youth experiencing homelessness, thus shifting her focus to Human Services. She then started collaborating as Federal Grants Reviewer with Youth Collaboratory, to help nonprofits craft and submit great proposals and get awarded. Recently, she has been selected to assist the Family and Youth Service Bureau (FYSB) and the Administration of Children and Families with thoroughly assessing and scoring grant applications as Reviewer and Panelist. She graduated in Political Science and International Diplomacy with a focus on Less Developed Countries at the Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna, holds Master’s Degrees in Urban Planning and Food Security for Developing Countries, International Tourism, Economy and Management of the Cultural Sector, Alternative Dispute Resolution. She speaks Italian, English, Spanish, French and Portuguese.
Teia Goodwin, Grant Writer
Teia joins the Salang Consulting team with more than eight years of professional writing experience to include proposal writing for multi-million-dollar government contracts. Her passion for storytelling led her to pursue a career in journalism and media. This experience has afforded her critical insights on the power of a narrative to shape the public’s perspective. During her personal time, Teia volunteers her time, talent, and resources to causes near and dear to her heart. She previously served on the Foster Care Review Board in her home state, and as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for abused and neglected children. She studied Sociology, Political Science, and Communications at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Ginell Rogers, Grant Writer
Ginell Rogers is a native of Maryland and Eastern North Carolina with over 20 years of organizational executive management experience including financial and human service relations within the nonprofit sector. Starting her career in the industry as a volunteer, she identifies well with the plights executive leadership face including securing funding to meet the needs of the communities they serve. Obtaining degrees in Accounting and Public Administration, her passion is finding resources that aid in creating opportunities for citizen advancement. As a member of Salang Consulting, she believes that she can assist in promoting initiatives that support organizational development, program self-sufficiency, environmental education and system accountability through grant writing. As a mother of two young men, she enjoys balancing her time with her family and traveling.
Lisa Jones, Grant Writer
Lisa Jones has been working as a grant writer, program and grant administrator for over a decade. She has also been teaching history and government at local schools for over ten years. Lisa received her MA in history from Winthrop University and her BA in History and English from the University of the South. Lisa also completed her MPA with a concentration in public policy from Walden University and a grant writing certification program from the University of North Georgia. She has worked as a human services provider, case manager, and program administrator in corrections, substance abuse treatment, mental health care, and housing. Lisa has grant writing and administration experience with grants at every level and has been awarded grants from non-profit organizations, city government, state government, national organizations, and federal agencies.
Jennifer Capps, Grant Writer
With over 15 years of experience in small business administration, Jennifer proudly joins the Salang team to pursue her joint passions for writing and contributing to worthy causes. Assisting nonprofits and small businesses in securing necessary funds to sustain their work has been an interest of Jennifer for many years. As someone with firsthand knowledge of how vital reliable funding is for successful operations, Jennifer is dedicated to assisting clients in securing the support they need to not only carry on their good works, but thrive and grow. Jennifer holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of California, Riverside. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking the scenic trails and coastlines of the Pacific Northwest with her two rambunctious but lovable pups, Cooper and Mikey.
Carrie Stalling, Grant Writer Intern
Bringing her experience in Marketing and Project Management, Carrie Stallings is excited to join the Salang Consulting team as she transitions to helping nonprofits reach their goals. A graduate of the University of Missouri, holding a B.A. in History, she resides with her family in Dallas-Fort Worth. Carrie has been involved with community fundraising and local charities for a decade. She is passionate about using her writing skills and business acumen to further nonprofits’ positive impact on the world.
